Do People ACTUALLY Make Money
Working From Home As a Mystery Shopper?

Paid to shop, mystery shopper, secret shopper or what ever you want to call this industry, it is a world wide business that helps not only large and small businesses, but they also help the average person make a nice part-time income.

In fact, many people from stay-at-home moms, guys who are retired, and college students are quickly jumping on the train and taking advantage of this unique opportunity to make a few bucks over the weekend.

But, don't fool yourself there are actually people out there who are taking secret shopping seriously and making a full time income. I have to add a little disclaimer here...most people who try mystry shopping will probably not make a full time income. This is mainly from the hours required to make that type of money. Most people don't want to work at it that hard.

But an extra couple of hundred bucks a month is more than reasonable with a little bit of time on your part.

Did you know that shopping companies give out cool free gifts for your services. They certainly do, as soon as you sign up, you can start getting...Free gas, groceries, toys for your children, and many, many more. As you get more experience and become more adept at mistery shopping you might want to look into restaurant, hotel and spa evaluating. These establishments or resorts also need people like you to test them out.

Just imagine, getting a paid weekend end at a 5-star hotel or spa. Wine, facials, manicure, daily massage, you would be living almost like a movie star. This would be a dream for most people. Now when you become a mystery shopper you can to add a little bit of luxury to your vacations.

Another benefit that work at home veterans enjoy taking advantage of is the ability to work around their current lifestyle. Need to take the kids to a soccer game? Not a problem, because YOU choose what fits into your daily activities. Simple pick and choose the assignments that best suit you. You are not required to perform any assignment until you have fully agreed to what you are being asked to do.

Now that I have revealed some of the benefits of getting paid to shop, now I want to walk you through the process to earn money from home.

First you have to sign up with a company. When starting out you will want to sign up with many companies until you have enough experience and they trust you.

Next you will want to decide how you want to get paid. The easiest way to get paid online is through a service called PayPal. I use this service every day to send and receive money. So I can say from experience that it is safe to use. What I like about this service is that that I get paid almost instantly. I don't have to wait for a check to arrive in the mail. As soon as one of the mystery shopping companies you work for, decide your work is up to their standards they send your payment.

After you have gotten your method of payment ironed out, you get to choose which assignments interest you. Would you like to have lunch out on Thursday? How about test drive a new car that you have been thinking about, and get paid while doing so? Do you like to go to the movies?

I mentioned earlier a few of the possible assignments you can take advantage of. When you decide on which assignment is for you, contact the company that sent you the invite. They will get back to you with all the information you need. As soon as your home business package arrives you need to go through all the materials making sure you understand exactly what is required from you to get paid. This is very important, because even the smallest almost unimportant detail could mean the difference between getting paid or not. That is not what I want to happen to you. So make sure you understand the instructions. Most companies either have a way to contact them for support or they scheduler (or person who gave you the assignment) can answer your questions.

One little often overlooked step you need to take into consideration before heading out the door on your first job is “planning”. This can be a real life saver. Paid shoppers are required to make mental notes and remember specific details. But what happens if you forget? This is where proper planning will get you out of most situations that may arise. One tip it to go over a check list right before you are about to start your assignment.

Now that everything is planned out you are ready to step into spy mode. This means that what ever you do don't tell anyone what you are doing. Because if someone figures out what you are doing then the company will more than likely not pay you. So pay attention to what you say and do. You will also want to devise a way to take notes without taking notes. Some people use their cell phone as a note taking device. It just depends on what you find the most useful to you.

After the shop is over and your nerves have calmed back down (just kidding) you will have to fill out some type of report. This was included in the work from home package the company sent you after you accepted an assignment. The one thing that matters most about filling out the report is how much detail you include. This is where being prepared for the shop begins to pay off. Because it is here where most people drop the ball, and either one of two things happen.

1. The newbie took the time to learn the basics for sources such as the MysteryShopper handbook. Therefore they know how to fill out a report. And if a mistake is made they can quickly go back and make changes. Or...

2. They don't have a clue what happened or they are not going to be paid, after all they did fill out the report.

And that's it in a nutshell. To get started it is actually “super easy” but its in the details the most people stumble.
